A delegation from our laboratory is attending the 2026 World Parkinson Congress in Phoenix this week! This congress offers a unique opportunity to meet researchers, clinicians, advocates, and people living with Parkinson’s disease from around the world. It allows us to share our knowledge and advance research in this field together.

The WPC is a congress that is always highly valued by student researchers, as it is one of the few events of its kind to include people living with the disease, both as participants and as presenters. This represents a unique opportunity to engage with them and put our research into perspective.

We are therefore delighted to announce that the next WPC will be held in Quebec City in 2029! Professor Martin Lévesque will serve as co-chair, alongside Karen Lee of Parkinson Canada and Justyna Renata Sarna of the University of Calgary.

Hosting the WPC in Quebec City will be a remarkable opportunity to highlight Canadian leadership in Parkinson’s disease research and to foster new international collaborations aimed at improving the lives of those affected by this disease.
