We’re thrilled to announce the release of not one, but two exciting new articles from our lab!

First up, our research article, "Early detection of Parkinson's disease: Retinal functional impairments as potential biomarkers", just published in Neurobiology of Disease, uncovers electroretinogram (ERG) parameters that shine a light on early Parkinson’s disease, both in rodent models and human patients. This study strengthens ERG’s role as a powerful early biomarker tool for Parkinson’s—an absolute game changer. Don’t miss it! Read the open-access paper here.

The review article "Enhancing the diagnostic potential of electroretinography in Parkinson’s disease: A review of protocol and cohort criteria", which dives deep into previous research on ERG analysis in Parkinson’s disease, provides valuable insights and context on the subject. We will share the link as soon as it is available online.

A huge shoutout to our talented Ph.D. student, Victoria Soto Linan, who is the first author on both papers. Congratulations, Victoria—your hard work is truly paying off!
